...contd

I wish we could of video linked the day to you as its hard to visualise but even seasoned leaders were moved by what took place. Men came up to me afterwards wanting to commit themselves to marry the mother of their child who they'd been living with secretly. Others said they were ready to take responsibility to support children from previous relationships. One young man came and weeped as he confessed his addiction to internet pornography.

INTERLUDE
- ownsership is not stewardship. Stewardship is when you look after something that belongs to someone else. Ownership is when you look after something that belongs to you. We are moving from stewardship of the vision to genuine ownership. That is why my focus in testimony is on what others are doing as a result of what God is doing in their lives and not just on what I or TEAMS are doing.

46 health workers are now fully accredited from 13-14 churches. They start data collection in the next 2 weeks in their churches. This will form the basis in assessing the health needs of the church and church community. Some have already been accepted to medical school and nursing because the qualification is recognised as a basic healthcare qualification. Some have also been employed by the government so it has given them direct access to employment.

Our new Sewing School teacher is doing a stirring job and it was lovely to see the ladies in action and the beautiful atmosphere in the classes. I even had an idea for a purse so it must be God!

One new area that has warmed my heart is the women's ministry.
We decided to develop it as a "women around the well" concept with women gathering together, fellowship and encouraging one another and then learning a skill. We sponsored a Bakery training for 2010 with 20 women from the churches. They split up into 4- 5 groups and bake 1 day a week with a solar powered oven. The other 4 days they sell their produce. Every 3-4 mths we have a training in different aspects of food hygiene etc. Not only have the women generated some income for themselves but are transferring the knowledge to the church community, baking more cost effectively for their family and produce that they aren't able to sell they give to the poor and needy in the community.

The same group of women are now Catering for all our events which is a direct product of discussions after our last mission. Its wonderful to be able to support the church women in this way rather than just secular catering groups.

The prison work continues to expand with a further 5 wanting to join. We are setting up regional coordination leaders to manage the work and streamline reporting.

What of the bees, goats, site, children, health clinic etc, etc.

Another time as we are finalising some of the future plans.

All the team members were of the highest calibre and service I appreciated greatly the simplicity and maturity with which they handled the mission.

Thank you.

Liam and the team.
