Director of Worship & Music Ministries
Church: A growing multinational community of 400 avg. worshippers.
We are a word-based and worship-driven church. We use a ministry
team approach of a full-time Senior Minister leading an Executive
Leadership team of 4 lay leaders (Assistant Minister, Missions Minister
and 2 Elders) with support from a cabinet of chosen members as an
advisory council.
This newly created position will become the second full-time position.
Adult lay members currently provide volunteer leadership for all
worship, music, and drama areas. Currently using in worship a theatre
video projector with MS PowerPoint and video clips, video camera
for taping, soundboard with multiple wireless mics, digital computer
organ & keyboards, electric guitars, acoustic guitar, drum set,
ancillary lighting. Two major drama events annually include full
sets, complete costuming, extensive properties, theatre lighting
including spots, multiple mikes for actors.
Position: This staff person will oversee and provide leadership
and vision for this growing ministry area. Specific responsibilities
include:
- Design and leadership of two Sunday
services
- Direction of our worship team (including
music leaders and musicians)
- Oversight of choir ministries (adult
and children)
- Oversight of Instruments of Praise
(brass and wind ensemble)
- Oversight of contemporary ensemble
(guitars, keyboard, percussion)
- Oversight of two major drama events each
year
- Development of worship technologies and
methods (e.g., use of a variety of media, dramatic skits)
- Freedom to develop new ministries
- Other areas of ministry based upon
qualifications and interests

This
is a full-time position with excellent pay/benefits package including
health insurance and pension.
Qualifications: deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
A Bachelor's degree in music or musical theater is desirable with
desire to seek additional education and a 2-years experience in
any setting.
